The Fixed Height Dies (commonly referred to as Die Holder or Die Seat) is a professional press brake die holder designed to provide stable support for bending dies during sheet metal processing. Produced by Fierte, a leader in sheet metal processing tools, this Die Seat is made from high-quality 42CrMo4, 42CrMo, and C45 steels, undergoing strict heat treatment and precision machining to ensure consistent height and reliable load-bearing capacity.
The Die Holder is widely used in precision sheet metal processing fields, such as electronic product casing manufacturing, medical equipment components processing, architectural metal decoration production, and precision machinery parts fabrication. It is an essential accessory for press brakes, ensuring stable positioning of bending dies and consistent bending accuracy, suitable for both high-volume mass production and small-batch custom processing.
The Die Seat adopts a high-strength one-piece structure, with the core material selected from 42CrMo die seat and C45 die holder steels. These materials are known for their excellent load-bearing capacity, fatigue resistance, and dimensional stability, effectively withstanding the pressure and impact during bending operations. The forging process enhances structural density, avoiding internal defects that may cause failure under heavy loads.
Three specialized surface treatment solutions are available to meet different environmental requirements:
Blackened die holder: Forms a corrosion-resistant oxide film on the surface, with a smooth and wear-resistant finish, suitable for general workshop environments.
Sandblasted die seat: The surface has a uniform rough texture, improving friction between the die and the holder, preventing slippage during bending.
Sandblasting + blackening combination: Offers dual protection against corrosion and wear, ideal for humid, dusty, or harsh industrial environments, extending the product’s service life.
The Fixed Height Dies feature precise dimensional parameters, including a standard base width of 60mm, thickness of 12mm, auxiliary dimensions of 20mm/13mm, and a fixed height (H) with a tolerance of ±0.01mm. The compact and ergonomic design facilitates easy installation and storage, while the clear laser marking of dimensions on the surface ensures quick identification and matching with bending dies.
The defining feature of the Fixed Height Dies is its precise fixed-height design. The consistent height (H) ensures that the installed bending die maintains a stable position, eliminating height deviation caused by tool wear or installation errors. This design guarantees uniform bending angles across all workpieces, reducing product defects caused by inconsistent die height.
The Die Holder is equipped with reinforced structural ribs and a widened base to evenly distribute the pressure from the press brake and bending die. The upper surface is processed with precision grinding to ensure flatness (≤0.005mm/m), ensuring full contact with the bending die and avoiding local stress concentration. The side positioning grooves facilitate quick and accurate installation, reducing setup time by 20% compared to ordinary die holders.
The Die Seat is compatible with most standard bending dies and press brake models, including Amada/Promecam, Trumpf/Wila, Bystronic/Beyeler, LVD type, American standard type, Colly type, and Ajial-Axial type. It supports seamless matching with various die sizes, eliminating the need for custom modifications and improving tool versatility.
All components of the Fixed Height Dies comply with DIN 69051 international standards for press brake tooling. The heat-treated die seat undergoes strict quality inspections, including hardness testing (HRC48-50), dimensional accuracy testing, and load-bearing capacity testing. The standardized design ensures interchangeability with other brand die holders, enhancing workshop tool management flexibility.
The fixed height bending tool maintains a strict height tolerance of ±0.01mm, ensuring consistent positioning of bending dies and achieving bending accuracy of ±0.08°. This is crucial for precision manufacturing projects requiring tight dimensional control.
The combination of high-quality 42CrMo/C45 steels and whole-body heat treatment ensures the die holder’s excellent wear resistance and fatigue resistance. It can withstand long-term high-pressure operations without deformation or height loss, reducing tool replacement costs.
The standardized design and side positioning grooves enable quick and tool-free installation, even for inexperienced operators. The lightweight yet robust structure facilitates easy handling and storage, improving workshop operational efficiency.
Fierte offers custom die holder solutions, tailoring height, width, thickness, and load-bearing capacity according to customer-specific press brake and die specifications. Our professional technical team provides one-stop support from design, sampling to mass production, ensuring the product meets unique production needs.
As a durable die seat, it features low maintenance requirements and a long service life, reducing total ownership costs. Its broad compatibility with press brakes and dies makes it a versatile accessory for various sheet metal processing workshops, improving equipment utilization.
